New transition house announced for women and children fleeing domestic violence
Ottawa and the Nova Scotia government are funding a new shelter for women and children fleeing domestic violence.
Chrysalis House in Kentville provides care for people in Kings, Annapolis and Hants counties.
It will use a $1 million investment to build a new transition house for women and children seeking safety, while also offering programs for women.
The centre has been providing shelter and support services to women and children in the Annapolis Valley for 32 years.
