No injuries after school bus hit in Hammonds Plains

There were no injuries reported after a two-vehicle collision involving a school bus and a Jeep Cherokee in Hammonds Plains.

Halifax District RCMP was dispatched to the scene on St. George Boulevard around 7:30 a.m. yesterday.

Police say the bus was at a designated school bus stop with its lights and stop sign activated when the Jeep struck it from behind.

There were 21 children aboard the bus at the time.

The RCMP say the driver of the Jeep was issued a Summary Offence Ticket and say the investigation is ongoing.
