Nova Scotia MLA announces candidacy for Nova Scotia PC leadership
A Nova Scotia MLA has announced his intention to run for the leadership of the Nova Scotia Progressive Conservatives.
A news release says Kings North MLA John Lohr will put his name forward to be on the ballot when the PC party formally launches its leadership selection process.
Lohr officially confirmed his intention to run on Monday in a video announcement.
The release says Lohr's campaign will focus on three pillars, including supporting Nova Scotia's people, Nova Scotia's economy, and returning integrity to Nova Scotia's government.
So far, Pictou East MLA Tim Houston is the only other candidate that has officially declared.
He announced his candidacy in November, weeks after Jamie Baillie announced his retirement from politics.
