Nova Scotia officials to head to the U.K. for physician recruitment
Nova Scotia officials are setting their sights on the U.K. in their bid to recruit more doctors to the province.
Staff with the Immigration Department, the Nova Scotia Health Authority and the provincial college of physicians and surgeons are heading overseas this week.
Immigration Minister Lena Metlege Diab says 25 doctors have been recruited since the launch of the Physician Immigration Stream last February.
That includes 20 family doctors and five specialists.
