NS moose licence lottery open

The annual moose licence lottery is open.

The province says 345 licences will be available in five moose-management zones in Cape Breton.

To be eligible to apply, an applicant must qualify as a resident of Nova Scotia, have a Nova Scotia Wildlife Resources Card and be at least 18 years old by September 17.

Hunters who held a moose hunting licence in the last five years (2013-2017) cannot apply this year.

Applications are accepted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until midnight, May 31.
