NSP activate Emergency Operations Centre in advance of Tuesday's storm

Nova Scotia Power (NSP) is getting ready for Tuesday's expected storm by positioning powerline crews and forestry teams across the province.

The utility's Emergency Operations Centre will open at 8 p.m. on Monday, and NSP says they're also staffing up the Customer Care Centre.

Matt Drover, the utility's storm lead, says crews will be ready to begin restoration efforts as soon as it is safe to do so.

NSP says it's also coordinating with electrical inspectors regarding the repair process for customers who sustain damage to their meter mast.
