Officials still assessing rain damage at Halifax hospital
An assessment will continue Tuesday for several areas of the Dickson Building of the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax that were affected by rainfall last week.
A downpour that hit Halifax last week caused water to enter the fourth and third floor of the building.
A memo sent to by the Nova Scotia Health Authority to staff says the affected areas include dermatology, internal medicine, general surgery and medical physics research on the fourth floor, and ENT on the third floor.
It says 47 dermatology treatment appointments were cancelled Friday and approximately 50 more that were scheduled for Tuesday have also been called off.
