Open house & public meeting Tuesday on proposed Lantz development
An open house and public information meeting are being held Tuesday to provide details and answer questions on a large proposed development project in Lantz.
In December 2018, the Municipality of East Hants received an application from Armco Capital Inc. to amend the Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use Bylaw and to enter into a development agreement for a project that includes a mixture of low, medium and high density residential development; a mixed use centre; and open space.
Between 1,925 and 2,205 residential units are proposed.
Both the open house and public meeting are being held at the Lloyd E. Matheson Centre in Elmsdale.
The open house will take place in the lobby of the Lloyd E. Matheson Centre, between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., with the applicant and municipal staff available to answer questions.
The public meeting will start at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers and will include presentations from municipal staff and the applicant, and also give people the chance to comment or ask questions.
No decisions will be made Tuesday night.
A final decision to approve or reject the proposal will take place following a Public Hearing, which will be scheduled for a later date.
