Pictou County man charged with stunting

A 44-year-old Pictou County man has been charged with stunting after police say he was driving more than 60 kilometres per hour above the posted speed limit.

New Glasgow Regional Police say officers stopped a Ford Mustang on Little Harbour Road shortly after 10 p.m. Friday.

They say the vehicle was travelling at 114 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.

Police say the driver was charged with stunting under the Motor Vehicle Act and had their licence suspended for at least seven days.

The vehicle was also seized, and the driver faces a fine of $2,422.50 if convicted.
