Plebiscite Tuesday on sale of alcohol in Colchester County's District 8
Residents in District 8 in Colchester County vote today on whether to allow the sale of alcohol in their community.
The question on the plebiscite is: "Are you in favour of the sale of liquor in your municipality in accordance with the Liquor Control Act?"
Advance polls ran Friday and Saturday, with similar plebiscites running in Districts 3 and 4 of Annapolis County.
There have been 40 similar plebiscites across the province over the last 20 years.
Andy LeBlanc of Elections Nova Scotia says most of them approved the sale of alcohol.
