Police arrest three people, seize drugs and bear spray during traffic stop

RCMP say three people have been arrested after drugs and bear spray were seized during a traffic stop in Middlewoood on Wednesday.

Police conducted a traffic stop just before 6 p.m. on the Camperdown School Road, which led to the seizure of cocaine, cash, and a can of bear spray.

Mounties say those who were arrested have each been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and the following additional offences.

Kandice Darlene Regan, a 31-year-old from Hebbville, has also been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and four counts of breach of recognizance.

Autumn Dawn Roy, a 25-year-old from Middlewood, was also charged with trafficking cocaine, while 24-year-old Michael Rene Kelley, of Bridgewater, faces an additional charge of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Police say these individuals appeared in Bridgewater Provincial Court Thursday to answer to these charges and have since been remanded into custody.

They are scheduled to return to court Friday at 9:30 a.m.
