Police continue to investigate murder of Tanya Brooks nine years after her death

Police continue to investigate the murder of Tanya Brooks on the ninth anniversary of her death. 

Brook's body was found in a trench along the west side of St. Patrick's-Alexander School around 2 p.m. on May 11th, 2009. 

Police say investigators were able to trace her movements until approximately 9 p.m. the previous day. 

They say it's believed Brooks knew her assailant and that there are witnesses who have not yet come forward.

Brooks was a 36 year-old aboriginal woman associated to the Millbrook First Nation and the mother of five children.

Anyone with information about her death is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
