Police pursuit leads to five arrests in Kings County

A lengthy police pursuit led to the arrest of two men and three women.

Police received information on Thursday morning that a man with an outstanding warrant was travelling on Highway 101 in Lower Sackville towards Windsor.

The suspect vehicle was located near Hantsport and police activated their emergency equipment near Lockhartville.

The RCMP say the pursuit continued onto Dan Jordan Road in Melanson, Kings County, where the driver stopped the car and fled along with four passengers.

Three female passengers were arrested at the scene while the driver and another passenger were located nearby and were arrested, all without incident.

Twenty-four-year-old Morgan Allen Ross from Greenwood appeared in Kentville Provincial Court Friday on charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police, and operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited.

The 23-year-old Dartmouth man sought on the outstanding warrant has been released from custody, while the three women have been released without charges.
