Police say MacPherson's Mills man charged following seizure of drugs in New Glasgow

New Glasgow Regional Police say a MacPherson's Mills man is facing charges after drugs were seized in New Glasgow on Sunday. 

The Pictou Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, with help from New Glasgow Regional Police, seized cocaine and methamphetamine on Stewart Street around 12:30 a.m.  

A 56-year-old man was subsequently arrested. 

Police says he has been charged with possession of cocaine and possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine. 

He has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in provincial court at a later date.
