Port of Pictou to showcase local music, culture, food during Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta
The province has announced details about the activities that will take place in ports across the province during Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta.
Tall ships will visit 10 ports in Nova Scotia as a part of this rendez-vous, including the one in Pictou from June 30th to July 2nd.
The port will feature lobster dinners, a craft market, a pirate treasure hunt for families, a pipe band concert, live entertainment with multi-cultural performers, and tall ship access.
The province says a Canada Day wake-up call with fireworks, which will be followed by a breakfast and day-long celebrations, is also planned for the community.
The ships will also visit ports in Sydney, Louisbourg, St. Peter's, Port Hawkesbury, Pugwash, Halifax, Lunenburg, Shelburne, and Digby between June 30th and August 16th.
The province says ship access will be free to the public.
