Province names first Executive Director of Accessibility Directorate

Gerry Post has been named the province's first Executive Director of the Accessibility Directorate.

The province says Post is an advocate for persons with disabilities who has worked on improving the Accessibility Act, which was passed in April and sets out goals to make Nova Scotia more accessible by 2030.

A news release says the Accessibility Directorate will be responsible for supporting accessibility initiatives and for advancing broader disability-related issues.

The appointment was announced Friday by Justice Minister Mark Furey.
