RCMP ask for public's help after man sent to hospital with serious injuries following hit and run
Halifax District RCMP are asking for the public's help following a hit and run in Cow Bay Wednesday.
Police say a 24-year-old man was walking on Cow Bay Road when he was hit from behind by a gold or yellow-coloured compact car.
They say the man hit the windshield of the car and was thrown into the air.
The accident took place around 12:45 p.m. at the intersection of Cow Bay Road and Cleary Drive.
Officers say the car fled the scene, but it should have damage to its windshield and would be missing a side mirror.
They say the pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening, injuries.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the police or Crime Stoppers.
