RCMP investigate Elmsdale break and enter

Police are searching for a suspect in a break and enter in Elmsdale this week.

The homeowners called 911 around 12:40 p.m. on Tuesday reporting they found someone inside the residence on Hescott Street when they arrived home.

The suspect was forced out of the front door and ran north, with the caller saying they didn't notice the man carrying a weapon.

There's no word on what, if anything, was stolen.

The RCMP say the suspect is described as a thin white man in his mid-20s with blond hair, standing around 6' tall, wearing dark jeans and a black zip-up hoodie.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Halifax District RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
