RCMP investigating crash between transport truck and parked vehicle

Port Hawkesbury RCMP are investigating a crash between a transport truck and an unoccupied vehicle on Highway 105 in Waycobah.

Mounties say the truck struck the vehicle, which was parked on the side of the road, on Sunday morning.

They say the truck then "jack-knifed," hit a guard rail, and came to rest upright just short of a lake.

The man, who was driving the truck and the vehicle's only occupant, was able to remove himself from the vehicle.

He was taken to hospital by EHS before police arrived.

RCMP say the driver was released from hospital with no injuries.
