RCMP investigating multiple thefts and a stolen vehicle from Lower Sackville

Halifax District RCMP are investigating multiple thefts in Lower Sackville.

Police say a white 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe was stolen from a home on Tamarack Circle overnight between June 4 and 5 but was found at approximately 2:30 p.m. June 5 after police were told it was parked suspiciously on the lawn of a residence.

RCMP say in their investigation they were told of two men seen inside the vehicle at 7:30 that morning.

One was described as white, in his twenties with a moustache and wearing a red vest, while the other had a short haircut and was wearing a dark coloured shirt and pants.

Police also received nine reports of thefts from unlocked vehicles in Lower Sackville that same night, with stolen items including a Blackberry, Kate Spade wallet, three pairs of Ray-Ban sunglasses, loose change and a cellphone charger.

All the items were taken from vehicles a short distance away from the residence where the Hyundai Santa Fe was stolen.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Halifax District RCMP or call Crime Stoppers.
