RCMP need help identifying man involved in road rage incident in Lower Sackville

Police are asking the public for help identifying a man involved in a road rage incident on Nordic Crescent in Lower Sackville Wednesday evening.

Officers were called around 8:00 p.m. about a disturbance on Nordic Crescent, and when they arrived they were told that earlier a woman and child were driving on Glendale Drive when the woman stopped at the intersection of Pinehill Drive to let a pedestrian cross at the crosswalk.

Police say they were told the man driving behind the woman swerved into another lane, honked his horn and yelled at her.

RCMP say the woman continued driving after the pedestrian crossed and eventually pulled into a driveway on Nordic Crescent.

Police say the man who had honked and yelled at the woman pulled up near her and got out of his vehicle before yelling at her and repeatedly punching his vehicle, causing dents to the roof and hood, then punched the air toward the woman before punching the curb.

RCMP are looking to speak to the man involved in the incident and say the vehicle is described as an older grey Honda Civic with a black bug deflector on the hood.

Police describe the man as white, approximately 35-years-old with brown hair.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Halifax District RCMP or call Crime Stoppers.
