RCMP say drugs, weapons, and cash have been seized after two homes were searched in Amherst.
The Cumberland County Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU), with help from the Amherst Police Department, seized quantities of cocaine, marijuana, prescription pills, and drug trafficking paraphernalia from a home on Paradise Avenue on Tuesday.
Police say as a result, 31-year-old Jamie Ross Trenholm and 32-year-old Nicole Canton, both of Amherst, have been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of oxycodone, and breach of conditions.
Canton was released on conditions, while Trenholm was remanded into custody.
Police say another home was searched on East Pleasant Street on Thursday, which resulted in the seizure of a motor vehicle, two weapons, and significant quantities of cash, cocaine, marijuana, and other drug trafficking paraphernalia.
A 24-year-old man and a 17-year-old female, both from Amherst, are facing charges of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
