RCMP say thieves used stolen truck and trailer to steal cigarettes from Wentworth store

RCMP say thieves used a stolen truck and trailer to steal cigarettes from a store in Wentworth.

They say thieves broke into the store and stole an undetermined amount of cigarettes just before 3 a.m. last Thursday.

The suspects were seen leaving in two vehicles, one of which was a Chev truck hauling a black, enclosed dual axle trailer with a company name on the side of it, while the second vehicle is described as a cross-over SUV or car.

Police say the vehicles left travelling west on Highway 4, adding that the truck hauling the trailers was later seen in the Oxford area.

They say the truck and trailer were stolen in two separate incidents in the Halifax area that same night.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
