RCMP say two men are facing several charges following an extensive investigation into multiple break and enters in Colchester County.

Police executed a search warrant at an East Village home on April 28th, which resulted in the recovery of several stolen items, including a Jeep that was taken from a car dealership in October 2017.

Police also seized unsafely stored firearms.

The 21-year-old man was arrested and the investigation revealed he was responsible for other thefts, including a Honda ATV at a campground last December.

Police say a second individual involved in the thefts and others near Pictou Rd. last month was also identified.

The 33-year-old man was arrested.

Both men were involved in other thefts that occurred in Greenfield, Belmont Mountain, and the Riversdale Road area during the Fall of 2017 and the Winter of 2018.

The 21-year-old man is facing charges of possession of stolen property over $5000, multiple charges of break and enter, unsafe storage of a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

The 33-year-old man is facing charges of theft of vehicle over $5000, theft of an ATV over $5000, and multiple charges of break and enter.

The men have been released from custody and are set to appear in Truro Provincial Court in July.
