RCMP search for suspect accused of grabbing, pulling 13-year-old girl down walking path

RCMP are asking for the public's help after they say a 13-year-old girl was pulled into a walking path by a man in Cole Harbour Thursday night.

Police say the girl was walking on John Stewart Dr. just before 7:30 p.m. when she was grabbed from behind and pulled by her arm into the walking path towards the woods.

Mounties say the girl was pulled a short distance down the path by the suspect until she was able to run away.

She wasn't injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as a white man in his early twenties, standing approximately 5'10" tall, with a lean build, and dark hair with a brush cut on top, which is also shaved on the sides.

He was wearing black sneakers, blue jeans, and a teal coloured 3-button t-shirt.

RCMP ask anyone who might have been in the area around the time of the incident to contact them, including a woman who they say was seen by the victim walking her German Shepherd with a red leash prior to the incident.
