RCMP seizes crack cocaine and marijuana during drug search in Digby County

RCMP say crack cocaine and marijuana have been seized following an investigation and search of a home in Digby County on April 21st. 

Police say they seized amounts of crack cocaine, marijuana products, prescription pills, a loaded sawed-off shotgun, cash, surveillance equipment, and that other unidentified substances, which are believed to be drugs, have been sent to the RCMP lab for examination. 

RCMP say 55-year-old Laurent Paul "Sticky" Bourque has been charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, careless use of a firearm, unsafe storage of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a prohibited device, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. 

Bourque, who is from Comeauville, appeared in court on Monday, but police say he was released on conditions. 

He is scheduled to return to court on May 15th.
