Recall triggered for Randsland brand Classic Coleslaw, Broccoli Slaw

Randsland brand Classic Coleslaw and Broccoli Slaw are being recalled due to possible Listeria contamination.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) says the recalled products were sold in Nova Scotia and in 340 gram-sized packages.

The agency says the recalled product should not be consumed, adding that it should either be thrown out or returned to the store where it was purchased.

Food that has been contaminated with Listeria might not look or smell spoiled but it can still cause sickness, including such symptoms as vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache, and neck stiffness.

No illnesses have been reported in association with the consumption of this product.

The recall was triggered by Randsland Farms Inc. and the CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation.
