Replace your licence plate if the paint is peeling

Service Nova Scotia is reminding people to exchange your licence plate if the paint is peeling.

Licence plates made in 2008 are affected, ranging from ENG 001 to ETA 499.

Out of 85,000 plates manufactured in 2008 for the province, around 17,000 have been replaced for a variety of reasons, including peeling paint.

Defective plates will be replaced at no cost at Access Nova Scotia Centres.

Under the Motor Vehicle Act, Nova Scotians are responsible for ensuring their licence plates are clearly visible and legible to law enforcement agencies.
