Report on Oxford sinkhole expected next week
A formal report on the ground penetrating radar survey of the Oxford sinkhole is expected to be completed next week.
The survey was completed Tuesday but Cumberland Regional Emergency Management says analyzing the data will take several days.
The report will provide the basis for decisions on the next steps for testing.
Officials say new cracks were found in the Lions Park parking lot near the northeast side of the sinkhole during the radar survey, but there have been no significant changes since.
The sinkhole grew from the size of a dinner plate in July to nearly 40 metres in August, swallowing trees and picnic tables.
