Robbery suspect arrested after theft of hydromorphone: RCMP
The RCMP say a Beaver Bank man has been charged following a robbery where he demanded hydromorphone at a business in Lower Sackville.
Halifax District RCMP received a hold up alarm from the business on Sackville Drive Monday morning.
Police say the employee feared the suspect may have a weapon as he was keeping one hand in his pocket.
The suspect fled the store after receiving hydromorphone pills, but a witness provided police with a description of the suspect and his direction of travel.
Thirty-two-year-old John Charles Auld was arrested at a traffic stop in Dartmouth and is charged with robbery and wearing a mask while committing an indictable offence.
He's scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court this morning.
