Saint John man charged in 2005 Halifax murder case

A 50-year-old man from Saint John has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with a 2005 homicide in Halifax.

Police say 26-year-old Naomi Kidston was found dead inside a Halifax apartment on June 7th, 2005.

Her death was ruled a homicide, and Halifax Regional Police say cold case investigators have worked diligently on her murder ever since.

Donald Murray Peters was arrested Thursday morning in Saint John and brought to Halifax for questioning before being held in custody overnight.

The investigation is continuing, and police are asking anyone with information about this case to contact them.
