Salmon River apartment building fire displaces two tenants

A weekend fire has displaced two Salmon River men.

The Red Cross says Saturday's fire on East Prince St. broke out around 10 p.m., damaging a large two-storey house that had been converted into apartments.

All of the tenants were evacuated from the building, but most were later allowed to return home.

Two tenants, who lived in two apartments at the rear of the building where the damage occurred, were not allowed to return.

They have received help from the Red Cross with emergency with emergency lodging, meals and clothing purchases.

No one was hurt in the fire.
