Science enthusiasts gather for 'March for Science' in Halifax

Dozens of science enthusiasts showed support for their American counterparts at a "March for Science" protest in Halifax's Grand Parade on Saturday.

Some protesters carried signs like "Defiance for Science," and "Without Science, It's Just Fiction."

Richard Zurawski, a meteorologist-turned-city-councillor who helped organize the event, says pseudoscience can have widespread implications for policy-making.

Zurawski says the environment is suffering because people are prioritizing economics over the health of the planet.
