Search for missing South Rawdon senior suspended
East Hants District RCMP says the search for a missing South Rawdon man has been suspended.
The search for 89-year-old Martin McLearn began after police received a complaint that he hadn't been seen since around noon on Sunday at his home.
Ground Search & Rescue (GSAR) volunteers, along with community volunteers, searched the heavily wooded area over the last four days, and wrapped up their efforts at midnight.
The Department of Natural Resources helicopter, all-terrain vehicles, and RCMP Police Dog Services were also used as part of the search, with assistance from local Conservation Officers.
McLearn is described as a 5'6" white man, weighing 150 to 160 lbs, with white hair and blue eyes, wearing glasses, rubber boots, dark workpants, and possibly a tan overcoat and cap.
RCMP say he's hard of hearing, may walk with a slight limp, and was not operating a vehicle.
