Seatbelt protects man in Hwy 102 rollover collision: RCMP
The RCMP say a seatbelt helped to protect a man from serious injuries following a rollover collision on Highway 102 in Hammonds Plains.
Officers were called to the scene between Larry Uteck Boulevard and Hammonds Plains Road on Monday afternoon and found that the truck was flipped on its roof in the ditch and significantly damaged when they arrived.
Police say a 65-year-old man walked away from the crash after exiting the vehicle on his own, and was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The RCMP say the cap of the truck's bed flew off, causing the vehicle to flip several times and land in the ditch.
