SiRT investigating after two males injured in crash near Elmsdale
Nova Scotia's independent police watchdog agency is investigating after two male youths were injured in a collision Friday night on a highway near Elmsdale.
The collision allegedly happened when an RCMP officer flashed their lights as the young men travelled against the flow of traffic in a construction zone.
They were riding a two-wheeled, off-road vehicle and the passenger wasn't wearing a helmet.
They both were injured as a result, and the Serious Incident Response Team has taken over the investigation, as in all situations when an injury happens when an officer is present.
