SiRT launches investigation into man's death on Cape Breton highway

The Serious Incident Response Team (SiRT) says it has launched an investigation into the death of a 27-year-old man on a Cape Breton highway. 

Police were called to a possible altercation on the overpass over Highway 125 at the end of Upper Prince Street in Sydney around 5 p.m. on Thursday. 

A member of Cape Breton Regional Police responded to the call and encountered two men on the overpass. 

SiRT says after the officer arrived, the 27-year-old fell from the overpass, and was found dead on the highway. 

Police contacted SiRT following the man's death and the team responded by sending three investigators to Sydney.
