Six people temporarily displaced by Kentville apartment building fire
The Canadian Red Cross says six tenants have been temporarily displaced by a fire at a five-unit apartment building in Kentville.
Tuesday's fire, reported around 7 p.m., extensively damaged one Exhibition St. apartment and caused smoke damage throughout the building.
Red Cross volunteers arranged emergency lodging and other support for a man forced from the fire-damaged apartment and a woman from an adjacent unit.
The organization says tenants of the other three apartments made their own arrangements, but will be offered Red Cross assistance if needed.
No one was injured in the fire.
The cause of the blaze is still unknown.
