Snow, freezing rain cancels classes in parts of Nova Scotia

Schools have been closed in parts of the province Tuesday as another winter storm rolls through in this, the second week of spring.

The Chignecto-Central Regional School Board cancelled classes in Colchester County, Pictou County, and East Hants, while schools in Cumberland County are open.

A messy mix of snow and freezing rain has made for slick road conditions.

The snow is expected to end around noon, with a clear day ahead.

Environment Canada is calling for another 5 to 10 centimetres of snow for our area Wednesday, except in Cumberland County where flurries are expected.
