Truro Centurions Swim Club

The Truro Centurions had 8 age group swimmers take part at the Acadia Junior Swim Meet this past weekend in Wolfville. From now until the rest of the swim season the age group meets are divided by swimmer age and/or qualifying times.
In the 12 and under girls age category Julianne Dowe finished 1st place in the 50M back, 200M IM, and 50M breast. Dowe also finished 3rd in the 200M free and 4th in the 50M fly. Karina Warren finished 2nd in the 1500M free.
In the girls 13 and 14 year old age category Olivia Langley finished 1st in the 400M IM and the 100M free. Langley also finished 4th in the 200M IM, 5th in the 200M free, and 7th in the 100M breast. Amiela McLeod finished 1st in the 100M back, 2nd in the 100M free, 2nd in the 800M free, and 4th in the 400M free. Amy Barnhill finished 1st in the 50M fly , 2nd in the 200M fly, and 2nd in the 200M free. Taylor Sylvester finished 6th in the 200M back.

The Centurions also had success in the girls 14 and under relays. The team of Amielia McLeod, Julianne Dowe, Olivia Langley, and Taylor Sylvester finished 1st in the 400M free relay. The Centurions had two teams place in the 14 and under girls 200M IM relay. The team of Amy Barnhill, Julianne Dowe, Olivia Langley, and Amielia McLeod finished 1st. The Centurions’ second entry finished 4th. That team consisted of Julia Hutt-Semple, Taylor Sylvester, Emma Cook, and Karina Warren.
