Truro Centurions Swim Club

The Truro Centurions took part in an age group development meet in Saint, NB that featured the swimmers doing all sprint distance races.

In the girls 12 and under age category Madison Bond finished first in the 100M back, first in the 100M breaststroke, first in the 100M free, first in the 200M IM, and first in the 200M breaststroke. Julianne Dowe finished third in the 100M bac, second in the 100M breaststroke, fourth in the 100M free, first in the 50M breaststroke, and second in the 50M free.

In the girls 13 and 14 age category Amy Barnhill finished second in the 50M fly and sixth in the 100M fly.  Olivia Langley finished seventh in the 50M fly. Emily O’Connor finished fourth in the 100M breaststroke.

In the girls 15 and over age category Katie Archibald finished first in the 100M breaststroke, second in the 200M IM, and first in the 50M breaststroke.

In the boys 13 and 14 year old age category Benjamin Mingo finished first in the 100M back, second in the 100M breaststroke, second in the 200M breaststroke, first in the 50M back, second in the 50M breaststroke, and first in the 50M fly.

Stellarton and Area Minor Girls Softball Association

The Stellarton and Area Minor Girls Softball Association, home of the Subway Stingers, will be hosting Tryouts for the 2017 U-16 team at the W.M Sobey Indoor Sports Complex 120 Old FoxBrook Road, Stellarton:
Monday, May 1st, 2017 8 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017 8 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Sunday, May 8th, 2017 7 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Tryouts are open to females born in 2001, 2002 interested in playing competitive fast pitch softball. The fee is $30, which includes Softball NS insurance. Northern AAA Midget Subway Selects
The Northern AAA Midget Subway Selects, fresh off their provincial championship title and silver medal finish at Atlantics, will be hosting their ID camp for the upcoming season on April 30th, May 1st and May 3rd. The camp is open to all midget aged players born in 2000, 2001 and 2002 and those bantam aged players born in 2003, and is held to identify potential players for the 2017/2018 season. 

The ID camp schedule is as follows: 
April 30th - Registration begins at 4:00pm with Fitness Testing at 4:30 pm. On ice 6-7 pm
May 1st -  6-7:30 pm on ice
May 3rd - 6-7 pm on ice
