Stabbing in West Chezzetcook leads to arrest, charges

A 22-year-old man from Lake Echo has been charged following a stabbing in West Chezzetcook on Saturday.

Police say the suspect entered the residence and an argument took place, which led to the man stabbing the 24-year-old victim before leaving the scene in a car.

The victim was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Jeffrey Walter Wagner was arrested without incident Monday and charged with aggravated assault, break and enter, and assault with a weapon.

He's scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on Tuesday.

The investigation is ongoing, and police say this was a targeted incident as the victim and suspect were known to one another.
