Tatamagouche ER closed Monday, Wednesday
The Nova Scotia Health Authority says there are not enough doctors to staff the emergency department at the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital in Tatamagouche on July 1 and July 3.
Therefore, the province says the emergency room will shut down between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on both days, but will be open the remainder of the week and overnight.
During the daytime closures, patients with emergencies will be redirected to the Colchester East Hants Heath Centre of the most appropriate emergency department for care.
Government says overnight coverage will be provided by the paramedic, registered nurse and oversight physician team.
Those experiencing a medical emergency should always call 911.
