**Updated** Teen killed in Hammonds Plains single-vehicle crash

A 17-year-old boy has died following a single-vehicle collision in Hammonds Plains.

The RCMP say the victim was the passenger in the car, which lost control and overturned in a ditch Friday morning on Rochester Drive.

The driver, also a 17-years-old boy, was arrested at the scene for dangerous driving, but no charges have been laid.

He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Rochester Drive was closed to traffic while an RCMP collision analyst examined the scene.

A memorial has been set up near the scene the accident.

RCMP have not released the victim's name, however, he was a Grade 12 student at a high school in Bedford.
