Temporary ER closures in Cumberland County

Another round of daytime closures is set for three emergency rooms in Cumberland County this week.

The Nova Scotia Health Authority syas there are not enough doctors to staff the ermegency rooms in Pugwash, Parrsboro and Springhill every day.

As a result, the province says the emergency room in Pugwash will be closed as follows:
- Sunday, February 3 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. 
- Tuesday, February 5 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Thursday, February 7 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Friday, February 8 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturday, February 9 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The government says the emergency department in Parrsboro will be shut down this week as follows:
- Sunday, February 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Monday, February 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, February 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, February 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The provincial health authority says the emergency room in Springhill will be closed to patients for the following dates and times:
- Monday, February 4 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. 
- Tuesday, February 5 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Thursday, February 7 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. 
- Friday, February 8 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

All three emergency rooms will be open overnight, and anyone with an immediate medical emergency should call 911.
