Theft in Nappan leads to three arrests

Three men have been charged following a break, enter, and theft in Nappan earlier this month.

Police were called to a home on MacDonald Road on October 6th, and were told a safe had been stolen that afternoon which contained two handguns, ammunition, jewelry, and cash.

The items stolen were worth around $20,000.

Police were able to recover a large portion of the jewelry after searching homes in Springhill, Amherst, and Cap Pele, New Brunswick.

28-year-old Troy Shawn Sweeney faces fifteen charges, and has been remanded into custody until a court appearance in November.

RCMP say a 36-year-old man from Springhill and a 26-year-old man from Amherst are also facing charges.
