Three Cumberland County blood collection clinics temporarily closing due to staffing challenges
Staffing challenges have forced the health authority to temporarily close three blood collection clinics in Cumberland County.
The blood collection clinic at Bayview Memorial Hospital in Advocate Harbour will close on August 9, 2018, reopening August 16, 2018 at 8 a.m.
The blood collection clinic at the Oxford Medical Centre will be closed on Fridays until further notice, but remains open Wednesdays, from 7:30 a.m. until 10 a.m.
And, the blood collection clinic at the D.M. Cochrane Medical Centre in River Hebert will close on August 7, 2018, reopening August 14, 2018 at 7:30 a.m.

Cumberland County has also been plagued by frequent ER closures because of a doctor shortage, including a last minute closure of the ER in Pugwash.
The emergency department at the North Cumberland Collaborative Emergency Centre is closed Wednesday, August 1, 2018, from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., because there is no physician coverage available.
