Three impaired drivers arrested last weekend in Pictou County: RCMP
Pictou RCMP say three impaired drivers were arrested within 11 hours last Saturday.
Police responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver in the MacLellans Brook area around 9:10 a.m. and arrested a 24-year-old man from Pictou County.
Shortly before 8 p.m., a traffic stop in Pictou was conducted due to what police say were "several vehicle defects" and noted signs of impairment so the 28-year-old driver from Pictou County was arrested.
Both men have been charged with impaired operation of a conveyance after each provided breath samples at twice the legal limit.
Earlier in the day, shortly before 4:30 p.m., RCMP were called to a single-vehicle ATV accident on the Trenton Connector in Mount William.
The driver and passenger, both from Pictou County, were being transported to the Aberdeen Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, but police say the driver showed signs of impairment.
The 36-year-old provided a blood sample and the matter remains under investigation.
