Three people from Ontario charged in theft, attempted theft incidents in Cape Breton

Three people from Scarborough, Ontario have been charged following several reports of theft and attempted theft in Cape Breton.

RCMP say the incidents took place between Monday and Tuesday in Port Hawkesbury, Inverness, Chéticamp, and Ingonish.

Twenty-five-year-old Sami Anghel, 25-year-old Ion Kvec, and 19-year-old Ion Rostas are each charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 and five counts of attempted theft.

They appeared in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court on Wednesday and were remanded into custody until their next court appearance on Monday.
