Timberlea man charged with impaired driving with a child in the vehicle

A 22-year-old man has been charged with impaired driving while having a child in the vehicle.

Halifax District RCMP responded to a collision on Highway 103 in Upper Tantallon early this morning after a complaint of a 2004 Jeep TJ lying on its roof in the ditch along the highway.

The driver, from Timberlea, and a two-year-old girl were not injured.

The man is due in court at a later date to face a charge of impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

RCMP say a referral has been made to Community Services for driving a motor vehicle while impaired and having a child present.
